Self-Registration Stations and Electronic Sales Kiosks

Wisconsin State Park System

The Wisconsin State Park System offers self-registration stations and electronic sales kiosks to pay for vehicle admission stickers and state trail passes when property offices are closed. Self-registration stations and kiosks are typically located next to property offices, entrance stations, trailheads or within campgrounds.

Electronic Sales Kiosks

Electronic sales kiosks are available at some state park properties to pay for vehicle admission stickers and state trail passes. These kiosks offer visitors the option of paying by credit card (cash and check are not accepted at the electronic kiosks). Once credit card payment has been approved, visitors will receive a printed receipt with the purchase date and items purchased. A receipt for an annual sticker/pass must be redeemed (see below).

How to redeem electronic sales kiosk receipts

If a daily admission sticker or state trail pass is purchased, the printed receipt serves as the daily sticker/pass.

If an annual admission sticker or trail pass is purchased, the printed receipt will be valid for 30 days and will need to be exchanged for a sticker/pass. This printed receipt can be turned in to any property office or DNR customer service center in exchange for an actual sticker/trail pass.

Self-registration Stations

Self-registration stations have envelopes available for payment by cash or check (credit cards are not accepted). A receipt can be torn off the envelope for proof of payment.

If a daily admission sticker or state trail pass is purchased, the envelope receipt serves as the daily sticker/pass. If an annual admission sticker or trail pass is purchased, the property will mail to the address provided on the envelope. Visitors need to write legibly on the envelope to ensure the property knows where to send the annual sticker/pass.

If visitors are paying for a non-reservable campsite, the envelope receipt should be attached to the campsite post where campers are staying overnight.

Thank You!
Thank you for supporting the Wisconsin State Park System. Sales of admission stickers, camping and state trail passes go directly to support the operation of Wisconsin state parks, forests, recreation areas and trails.
