Important changes have been made to the Board meeting format and agenda:

  1. The Board welcomes public input. People may speak on any agenda item that states Citizen Testimony Welcome and may speak on items that are not on the agenda in the Citizen Participation portion of the meeting. Pre-registration is required to speak. People may also submit written comments to the Board. See complete information about registering to speak and submitting comments on the Board public participation web page.
  2. The deadline to register to testify or to submit comments is 11 a.m. on the Friday prior to each meeting.
  3. Board Meetings are now streamed live and are permanently available on demand. To watch, go to the Board webcast library and click on the meeting or meeting segment you want to watch.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, the Natural Resources Board will tour and/or receive presentations at the following locations (Note: The public must pre-register with Board Liaison to attend scheduled tours. Exact tour schedule is subject to change): at approximately 11 a.m., the Board will arrive at Badger Army Ammunition Plant, Building 207, S7560 US Highway 12 North Freedom, Wisconsin, topic: History of Badger. At approximately 12:50 p.m., the Board will tour the Badger grounds as follows: 1) At approximately 1 p.m. the board will stop at the overlook for presentations on the reservoirs, unique salamanders, grassland bird populations, hunting on Badger and local geology, 2) At approximately1:35 p.m., the board will stop at remaining bunkers for presentations on bat refuges and invasive species, 3) At approximately 2:05 p.m. the board will stop to hear presentations on monitoring wells, landfill closure, concrete reuse and share cropping 4) At approximately 2:40 p.m. the board will stop at the old pumphouse for a presentation on potential for a fishing pier, 5) At approximately 3:25 p.m. the board will stop for presentations on the settling ponds area, parcel M2 laydown area and Grubers Grove Bay, 6) At approximately 3:35 p.m. the board will stop to hear presentations on a hillside remnant prairie, prescribed burns and future use of the railroad corridor.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Natural Resources Board will participate in an informal gathering of local volunteer partners at approximately 4:15 p.m. at Badger Army Ammunition Plant, Building 207, S7560 US Highway 12, North Freedom, Wisconsin.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Natural Resources Board will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in the Circus Room at the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center, 626 W. Pine Street, Baraboo, Wisconsin. The Board will act on items 1-3 and 5-6 as listed on the Agenda.
