Forestry Projects on Riverway Prompted by Invasive Insect
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will be conducting forest management projects along the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway (LWSR) in response to the detection of emerald ash borer (EAB) at minor to moderate levels along the entire 92 miles of the riverway. Timber improvement projects are set to begin north of Muscoda and north of Boscobel on the bluffs overlooking the Wisconsin River.

DNR Seeking Voluntary CWD Testing in Chippewa Valley Area During 9-Day Gun Deer Season Following Board Recommendations
MADISON, Wis. - Following additional consideration and recommendations from the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board during the September meeting, the Department of Natural Resources is now asking hunters in the Chippewa Valley Area to voluntarily have their deer tested for chronic wasting disease (CWD) during the nine-day gun deer season between Nov. 23 - Dec. 1.
