Title: LTE - LABORER (2 Positions)

Hourly Rate: $9.000 per hour, plus $0.45 per hour for evenings after 6 p.m. and $0.60 per hour for Saturday and Sunday work. You will be paid at time and one half for any hours worked on holidays.

Duration: Job starts approximately April 5, 2012

Job Description: Central Fish Lands Work Unit: This position is involved in the managing of fishery lands and boat accesssites in Dane, Dodge, Columbia, Jefferson, Sauk, Green and Rock counties. 50% - Mow grass, remove trees, prune bushes, apply herbicides, repair livestock fences, pick up litter, haul garbage, clean public use areas, and maintain restrooms. 20% - Perform facility improvement projects by repairing windows, doors, screens, and walls. Paint buildings, grills and picnic tables. 30% - Operate and maintain vehicles and light equipment. Fill and grade roads, patch blacktop and maintain culverts and shoulders. Maintain boat landing surfaces. Install regulatory and public use signs. Develop and maintain trail surfaces.

Knowledge Required: Knowledge and skills in general and preventive maintenance duties including janitorial, grounds work, and painting. Previous park and grounds maintenance and custodial experience preferred. Experience using hand and power tools preferred. Exhibit effective written and oral communication skills. Must be a self-starter who is punctual and can work independently as well as with co-workers.
