Job Description: LTE Forestry Learning Coordinator

This position serves as Learning Coordinator, under the guidance of the Forestry Division Learning Specialist. This position coordinates Forestry learning, including new forester/new forestry technician and fire training as part of the basic professionals training series. As part of the Learning team in the Division Effectiveness Section, work collaboratively with Learning Specialist, program/support staff, and others to plan and support the delivery of high-quality learning classes.

65% Training coordination.
- Collaborate with the Division Learning Specialist and program specialists to coordinate and support Forester, Forestry Technician, and Fire training programs as part of Basic Professionals Training Series.
- Develop, document, and revise standard operating procedures.
- Observe training, review materials and recommend revisions/improvements.
- Write, edit, and review reports and other documents.
- Collect/track data and conduct research as requested.
- Assist Learning Specialist with updating, maintaining, and curating learning resources (i.e. learning hub on Intranet).
- Utilize the Enterprise Learning Management system or equivalent.
- Plan and maintain training calendars; collect and update training class details.
- Coordinate and communicate with instructors, supervisors and training participants.

35% Collaborative teamwork, meetings, and communication.
- Work both independently and with others to plan and coordinate training and events.
- Collaborate with the Division Learning Specialist to develop, support, and implement the Division learning plan and individual learning plans.
- Participate in meetings, plan meeting agendas and document meeting decisions.
- Communicate and collaborate with Division Learning Specialist, Workforce Development Specialist, other Division Effectiveness program staff, and supervisors/managers as requested.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Experience coordinating training and planning events
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook calendar/email.
- Valid driver's license
The position periodically travels throughout the state including overnight travel. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Forestry Division programs, management and/or operations
- Project management skills
- Data collection, analysis, and evaluation
