Hourly Rate: Between $10.50 - $11.50 per hour depending on experience and training.

Duration: Job starts approximately April 29, 2018

Job Description: Laborer - LTE

This position is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the park, campsites, trails, and facilities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude, that is able to work independently, and function as part of a team. A large part of this position involves keeping the buildings and grounds presentable for park and trail visitors. Full and part-time positions available. ***NOTE***This position is on an Island off of Washington Island which is accessible only by ferry.

50% Mow grass. Pick up litter. Clean beach areas, restrooms, campfire rings and picnic grills. Remove trees and brush.

30% Perform general maintenance duties. Develop and maintain trail surfaces. Install signs. Haul garbage. Paint grills and picnic tables.

10% Operate vehicles and light equipment.

10% Perform minor plumbing and electrical duties.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge, skills and experience of general maintenance operations
- Building/facility or repair maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and punctual
- Ability to work a modified schedule; nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Boat operation/handling skills
