Title: LTE - LABORER (4 Positions)

Hourly Rate: $11.000 per hour.

Duration: Job starts approximately April 7, 2018

Job Description: Laborer - LTE

This building and grounds maintenance position is stationed at High Cliff State Park. Duration of employment is from approximately mid-May through early to mid-September. Position will be working up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. No holidays. Candidates must be in good physical condition and able to lift 40 pounds.

55% Perform general maintenance duties: repair park property and equipment, maintain trail surfaces, install signs. painting and staining.

30% Mow grass, remove trees and brush, pick up litter and clean beach area. Clean restrooms, shower buildings, campfire rings, and picnic grills.

10% Operate vehicles and light equipment.

5% Other assigned maintenance duties.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must have sufficient training and experience to demonstrate that, upon appointment, the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the tasks have been acquired.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and punctual.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and public.
- Willing to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Requires operation of trucks, mowers, string trimmers and hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Building cleaning experience
- Building and grounds maintenance experience

***NOTE***Interviews will be conducted on March 16th and 17th, 2018 at High Cliff State Park. No phone interviews will be accepted. New Employee Orientation Day will be April 7, 2018.
