Job Description: Visitor Services Associate - LTE

This position staffs the visitor contact station and greets park visitors. Duties consist of selling vehicle admission stickers, registration of campers, answer phones, disseminate park information, and other clerical duties. Evening and weekend work required. This is a seasonal position and start date and end date is negotiable however the position is full time Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Some part-time work in the fall and winter is possible.

55% Greet visitors, collect and account for fees and disseminate information. Use electronic cash registers, electronic credit card verification equipment and computerized camping reporting system.

15% Other assigned maintenance/janitorial duties.

30% Provide answers to visitor questions concerning the specific park area as well as explain the area's recreational opportunities, interpretive services, concessions and campground availability. Distribute brochures, maps and provide directions of travel throughout the park; inform visitors of potential safety hazards.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated and punctual.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and public.
- Must be able to work two weekends per month, some holidays, and varied 10 hour shift between 8am and 10pm.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Applicants with prior customer service and money handling experience preferred.
- Applicants must have sufficient training and experience to demonstrate that , upon appointment, the skills and necessary to perform the tasks have been acquired.

***NOTE***Interviews will be conducted on March 16th and 17th, 2018 at High Cliff State Park. No phone interviews will be accepted. New Employee Orientation Day will be April 7, 2018.
