Hourly Rate: Between $10.00 - $10.50 per hour depending on experience and training.

Duration: Job starts approximately May 13, 2018

Job Description: Laborer - LTE

Laborers (General Maintenance Workers) Perform a variety of maintenance duties including operation of trucks, tractors and specialized equipment, painting, trail and road maintenance, signing, hazardous tree removal, toilet building cleaning, garbage and recycling collection, and use of power tools and chain saws. May also work with removal of invasive plant species. Some work is hard physical labor. Knowledge: Maintenance experience preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work outside under difficult weather conditions is required. Employment: work 40 hours per week, mid-May through August, possibly into fall depending on workload. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.

60% Mow grass. Pick up litter. Clean bathrooms. Clean public use areas, beaches, campfire rings and picnic grills. Remove trees and brush.

30% Perform general grounds maintenance duties. Develop and maintain trail surfaces. Install signs. Haul garbage. Paint buildings, grills and picnic tables.

10% Preform minor plumbing and electrical duties.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge, skills and experience of general maintenance operations
- Building/facility or repair maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and punctual.
- Ability to work a modified schedule; nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience with lawn/landscape equipment; riding lawn mowers, chainsaws, weed whips, etc.
- Prior work experience in janitorial services.
- Prior work with plumbing or electrical.
- Prior work experience with State Parks or Forests.
