Title: LTE - PARALEGAL (2 Positions)

Hourly Rate: Between $17.25 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience and training.

Duration: Job starts approximately March 4, 2018

Job Description: Paralegal - LTE

Under the general supervision of the Bureau of Legal Services Section Chief, review records related to open records requests for records that need to be redacted or withheld per relevant statutes and case law. Draft legal correspondence ensuring that proper legal citations are provided. This position is half time; 20 hours/week. It will be filled in conjunction with another half-time Records/Forms Management Specialist position; for a total of 40 hours/week.

75% Independently perform legal review of records and assist in the legal determinations related to records

15% Independently draft legal correspondence and documents

10% Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Paralegal certificate.
- Previous experience working with public records requests.
