Hourly Rate: $11.000 per hour, plus $0.45 per hour for evenings after 6 p.m. and $0.60 per hour for Saturday and Sunday work.

Duration: Job starts approximately June 25, 2018

Job Description: Laborer - LTE

These positions will be part time or full time, 20-40 hours per week, July through November.

Laborers are responsible for providing maintenance support throughout the property. This involves working outdoors and includes the inspection, cleaning and grounds-keeping of buildings, facilities, campgrounds, day use, and picnic areas throughout the property. Laborers often operate machinery such as UTV's, ATV's, chainsaws, snowmobiles, hand tools, power tools, mowers, tractors and other motorized vehicles.

60% Clean beach areas, restrooms, shower buildings, and picnic grills. Pick up litter. Remove trees and brush. Maintain trails.

20% Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, brushing, trimming. Install signs, paint/repair picnic tables.

10% Operate vehicles and light equipment.

10% Perform general maintenance and minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Wear required uniform and be a positive representative of the Department.

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and skills in general and preventive maintenance duties including janitorial, grounds work, and painting.
- Exhibit effective communication skills.
- Must be able to operate vehicles and light equipment.
- Heavy lifting is required.
- Must be a self-starter who is punctual and can work independently as well as with co-workers.
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate vehicles and some equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous park and grounds maintenance and custodial experience preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
- Successful candidate must be able to perform general and preventive maintenance duties, primarily janitorial work, while maintaining a positive attitude working with the public.

***NOTE*** Onsite housing will be available to employees working full time.
