Job Description: Environmental Program Associate (PECFA Program Support LTE)

This position will provide programmatic support in the R&R program statewide. This position must understand the structure of the R & R program and its standard policies and procedures. This position will assist the program with regulatory oversight of PECFA-eligible environmental contamination cases and administrative tasks related to the management of PECFA cases. This position must respond to inquiries from and provide assistance to the general public and regulated community regarding rules, regulations, policies and guidance for the LUST, ERP and Spills programs.

50% Serve as initial point of contact for outside requests and inquiries. Provide technical assistance and programmatic information to the general public, consultants, and members of the regulated community with interpretation of state statutes and administrative codes for the R & R program.

25% Responsible for the organization, maintenance and coordination of program records; leading and providing support for the program's electronic records management systems.

20% Coordinate, track and fulfill open records requests from the public as well as staff members.

5% Organizational Responsiveness

Knowledge Required:

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and public.
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, punctual, and detail orientated.
- Ability to work alone and prioritize multiple work tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn internal database system and GIS. The work effort will include learning the DNR BRRTS database system, the TRACKER, previous Department of Safety and Professional Services tank removal database, and Spills Electronic Reporting and Tracking System (SERTS) how these systems work interchangeably, and the DNR FTP file share site.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail oriented with extensive database experience
