Hourly Rate: Between $10.00- $12.00 per hour depending on experience and training.

Job Description: Visitor Services Associate - LTE

This position will perform visitor service and support functions such as greeting, assisting, and informing visitors about area recreational and education opportunities. Answer general questions regarding the Southern Unit and rules and regulations that pertain to the area. Position is only weekends now, but may extend to 35-40 hours in the summer while working at the campgrounds.

75% Collect fees and dissemination of information. Work at ski trail entrance stations, or Forest HQ. Use electronic cash registers and electronic credit card verification equipment, sell admission stickers to public. Provide answers to visitor questions concerning the specific park area, as well as explain the area's recreational opportunities, interpretive services, concessions and campground availability.

15% Manage daily sticker account and remit all revenues in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area with up-to-date information for both the public and other coworkers.

10% Assist park supervisors or other park employees in any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Required:

- Applicants must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers, and have a positive attitude and friendly disposition.
- Training or experience in customer service, cash handling, use of computer systems and credit card machines. Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision. Position requires weekend shifts.
- Due to equipment and vehicle usage, applicants must have a valid operator's license, two years driving experience, and must be at least 18 years of age.
