COUDERAY WATERS REGIONAL LAND TRUST: Watershed Education Project

Purpose

Couderay Waters Regional Land Trust is sponsoring an education project to educate property owners on how to connect with and understand their local watershed. Specific deliverables for this project include a summary report including evaluation results and examples of educational tools, activities, publications, and/or presentations developed. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

Couderay Waters Regional Land Trust (CWRLT) sponsored the Watershed Education Project to encourage the public to connect with, and understand, their local watershed. Project goals include: 1) Produce a map of Sawyer County watersheds for use in educational materials; 2) Prepare & distribute a watershed awareness brochure; 3) Contribute to a broader public awareness and understanding of watersheds; 4) Emphasize watershed connectivity through a historic watershed paddle.
