SOUTHWEST BADGER R C & D: AIS:Relationship & Return on Investment in SW WI

Purpose

Southwest Badger RC&D proposes to educate and control aquatic invasive species in their 9-county southwest Wisconsin area. They will reach out to existing and new partners with targeted education about prevention and control, as well as promoting volunteer opportunities to help with monitoring locations of key invasive species like Japanese Hop. Staff will participate in various media campaigns as described in the application, and work with law enforcement staff to help educate the public. With partners, they will participate in control efforts, and report any new findings. They will send in quarterly reports, and post updates on their website and Facebook page to share information with the public.
