WAUPACA COUNTY: Mill Stream Dairy Runoff Management

Purpose

To cost-share installation of manure management systems in response to existing overflows of agricultural runoff containing nutrients, bacteria and other pathogenic organisms affecting Peterson Creek and the Little Wolf River Watershed and to address violations of the NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions relating to: manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, process wastewater handling, prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state, and prevention of unlimited livestock access to waters of the state.
