FOREST COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF LAKES, INC.: Lake Management & AIS Prevention & Education

Purpose

Forest County Association of Lakes is sponsoring an AIS prevention and education project. The project includes the following goals: 1) Develop an annual newsletter that will be sent to all riparian landowners in Forest County; 2) Distribute AIS educational brochures at Kentuck Days and Art in the Square events; 3) Distribute AIS placemats to local restaurants; 4) Develop AIS based field trip to Lake Metonga for area school science classes; 5) Help with student AIS essay contest conducted each year. Project deliverables include: Provide annual report summarizing the work completed using grant dollars. Specific conditions for this Project: The WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports/plans generated as a result of this project.
