Project RED Training Session 06/06/2009

Purpose

A Project RED (riverine early detectors) training will be held June 6thin Florence County. Project RED volunteers will be taught to identify15 invasive species that threaten the health of Wisconsin’s rivers andstreams. Volunteers will also learn how to verify their findings andhow to use a GPS unit and online database to map and report them.Volunteers are asked to use these skills to monitor a river of theirchoice twice a summer at their convenience for invasives.
