Proposed NOR Apple River Assessment as a part of the St Croix TMDL
Return to Search
Purpose
NOR staff will conduct a file review for the Apple River and all of its flowages and connected lakes to determine how it integrates into the larger St Croix TMDL process and the established goals for nutrient reduction. A windshield survey of the watershed was conducted in Oct 2010. Data review will begin Feb 2011 and continue through project completion. Priority monitoring can begin after data review identifies data gaps and managment needs.
Objective
This project will assess what current data exists and where additional data needs to be collected in future fiscal years to contribute to the TMDL for the greater St Croix Basin.
Outcome
Data review will be completed January to March 2012 with recomendations for additonal monitoring where data gaps exist being summarized by April 2012 Performance Measures: These are milestones that will be reported on in the Division Quarterly Report. Please estimate dates in a manner that encourages success. 1) Number of sample sites associated with the project. 2) Number of sampling events associated with project. 3) Estimated date when sample collection will be complete. 4) Estimated date when all data will be entered into appropriate database. 5) Estimated date when final report will be complete.
