Large Scale Lake Planning
Pelican Lake Property Owners Association, Inc. is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study Pelican Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Pelican Lake. Phases 1 and 2 were funded in this grant cycle (Aug 2010) and Phase 3 will be submitted for funding consideration in February 2011.
Phase 2 project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation \2013 planning committee meeting; 2) Shoreline Assessment; 3) Point-intercept (PI) aquatic plant survey, community mapping and analysis; 4) Curly-leaf pondweed survey.
Project deliverables include: 1) PI and shoreland data; 2) Aquatic plant community maps; 3) Two sets of aquatic plant vouchers.
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of PI and shoreland data, a set of aquatic plant vouchers, all maps from project, and all GIS data.
