UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON: Yellow Floating Heart-UW Madison Botany Garden Pond

Purpose

UW-Madison will control the spread of Yellow Floating Heart from the pond located in Botany Garden, and eradicate the plant and seeds. The pond will be completely removed, with all materials possibly containing viable seed either carefully washed for reuse or removed and deposited in the Madison landfill. Pond work will be supervised by DNR and Dane County staff. The final report will document the project with daily work diary and photos. Post-grant monitoring and reporting will be conducted biweekly the first growing season and monthly the second growing season.
