Aquatic Plant Management Plan
The Mercer Lake Association is sponsoring a project to develop an Aquatic Plant Management Plan for Mercer Lake.
The project includes the following goals: 1) Complete a point-intercept aquatic plant survey on Mercer Lake (Phase I/this grant); 2) Determine if any invasive species are present in Mercer Lake (Phase I); 3) Develop am APM Plan for Mercer Lake (Phase II/will apply February 1, 2010); 4) Integrate this planning process with the ongoing effort of revising the Mercer Lake Management plan.
Project deliverables include: 1) A final report summarizing the aquatic plant survey including the raw data (phase I); 2) Discussion of presence or absence of invasive species; 3) A final APM Plan for Mercer Lake following department and UW-Extension guidelines (phase II) 4) WDNR to be provided with electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports/plans generated as a result of this project.
