Minnesota Center for Survey Research - Conducting Boater Survey

Purpose

Conduct a boater survey to provide feedback on the effectiveness of the state's education efforts and help us better deliver our educational message in the future.

Objective

Evaluate the effectiveness of the state's education/outreach efforts and boater behavior.

Outcome

Mail an 8-page boater survey form based on a previous aquatic nuisance species survey form. Mail out 800 surveys and obtain as many surveys as possible, using a three-wave mailing sequence. Enter all survey data and return it to the DNR. The survey may be conducted in conjunction with as many as three different states.
