Smith-Conley Subwatershed Monitoring [SCR_08_11]

Purpose

This project is part of a larger Kittleson Valley/Pleasant Valley Buffer Initiative which began 2 years ago. Smith-Conley serves as the control site. Fish (9 sites), habitat (2 sites) and macroinvertebrates (7 sites) will be sampled to determine biological status of the Smith-Conley subwatershed. This data will serve as a control for the Kittleson valley project site where efforts are being made to enact BMPs as part of a TMDL implementation project. This work complements the work already done in the Pleasant Valley and Kittleson Valley watershed by providing biological data for a control site.

Objective

This work complements the work already done in the Pleasant Valley and Kittleson Valley watershed by providing biological data for a control site.

Outcome

9 fish sites 2 habitat sites 7 macroinvertebrate sites 5 sample days. Fish data will be entered into the FM database. Macroinvertebrate data will be entered into SWIMS. Final Report entered into WATERS.
