Proposed CO Phosphorus WQBEL Monitoring
Return to Search
Purpose
This project will consist of upstream and downstream monitoring from wastewater treatment plants. Each upstream and downstream site will have a grab sample collected at a pre-determined date each month starting with July and ending in October. It is proposed that there be four upstream/downstream combinations monitored in each region. Site selection will be detemined by the regions, but the site must have 7Q10 and 7Q2 flow estimates and the wastewater treatment plant much be monitoring phosphorus discharge. In all cases the flow from the wastewater treatment plant should neither be de minimus or dominating.
Objective
The objective is to help determine an appropriate flow to use in the phosphorus water quality based effluent limit determination.
Outcome
The outcome will be a better idea of what flow conditions to put into a new chapter of NR 106
