NORTH LAKELAND DISCOVERY CENTER: Lake Level Monitoring in Northern Wisconsin

Purpose

North Lakeland Discovery Center is sponsoring a project to monitor lake levels in 22 lakes in northern WI with a study completion date of December 31, 2020. Project activities: 1. Ensure long term data accuracy and precision, 2. Promote statistically sound volunteer data collection, 3. Long term engagement of volunteers, and 4. Public sharing of data. Project deliverables include: Create and maintain calibration logs. Lake level information will be entered into SWIMS and shared with lake groups/researchers/public. Specific project conditions: WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic copy of summary report, including calibration log(s). If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
