UPPER SUGAR RIVER WATERSHED ASSOCIATION: Green County Phragmites Control 2019 - 11 sites


Upper Sugar River WA intends to eradicate 11 small patches of exotic phragmites located in Green County. Treatments over several years with the intention of eradication will be conducted, followed by planting of native seed at all sites. The project will be done in coordination with Green County LWCD and permission has been granted by the land owners. Deliverables include timely control of the target plants; timely communication with the landowners; reseeding of the sites; photographs taken at all stages of the project, and labelled in the final report. Press releases will be shared with local media sources, project updates will be delivered yearly, and a final report at the project conclusion sent to the DNR and posted on the grant sponsor\2019s website.
