TALL PINES CONSERVANCY: RM-LPT - Mason Creek Water Quality Improvement Project

Tall Pines Conservancy will implement activities identified in the Mason Creek Watershed Protection Plan. The Plan identifies opportunities for stream and wetland restoration within the Site to enhance water quality within the watershed and stream biology to support all trout life cycles, increase floristic quality, and restore wildlife habitat by reducing non-native cover and establishing self-sustaining native plant communities. Deliverables include: 1) Conceptual stream realignment drawing based on site conditions and regional channel regression data. Plan and typical channel cross section views of the viable concept to be developed. Final Construction Documents to include Plan Sheet Set, written Technical Specifications, Itemized Quantities, and Engineer\2019s Opinion of Probable Construction Cost. The Computation Brief technical memorandum to be updated if necessary and finalized to include design calculations, quantities, and narrative information to support design. 2) Deliverable will include enhanced instream habitat for aquatic resources and removal of fish barriers. Project activities:1) baseline data review and site surveys; 2) stream design and documentation; 3) education and outreach; 4) water quality and biological monitoring; 5) remove barrier for fish passage and other stream debris, and install native perennial buffer. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Streams Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Streams Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
