CHIPPEWA COUNTY LAND CONSERVATION DEPT: 9Key Element Plan Yellow River & Moon Bay

Purpose

Purpose: Chippewa County is sponsoring a project to complete an approved 9-key element plan for contributing watersheds to Moon Bay Lake Wissota. Project activities include: cropland/crop rotation inventory, tillage practice inventory, feedlot inventory, animal number/ type inventory, current BMP implementation levels inventory, land rse/land cover data, soils data, septic system data), EVAAL modeling, STEPL modeling, developing and implementing a public participation process as a component to plan development, public participation (press release and public participation meeting), and writing an EPA approved 9Key Element Plan for Yellow River/Moon Bay watershed in Chippewa County Project deliverables: Summaries and methodology of the inventories identified in project activities above. The public participation process, including the press release, public invite list, public attendance list, and all public feedback on plan. Completed modeling for the plan, including Common Cropland and Pasture Practices reduction goals, Critical Areas, and Recommended Practices to reach reduction goals. An approved Nine Key Element Plan that incorporates the inventories, modeling, and public input received during development. Special conditions: WDNR will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of all data and maps from the project. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the WDNR. The grantee should provide a draft of the plan to DNR water quality staff for comment on plan adequacy, prior to submission of the grantee\2019s final payment request.
