WATERFORD WATERWAY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Waterford Waterways Management Planning - Study Phase

Purpose

The Waterford Waterways Management District is sponsoring a project to conduct studies, collect data and develop an updated lake management plan for the Fox River Impoundment System. Activities: 1) water chemistry data collection, watershed assessment and WILMS modeling; 2) study of internal phosphorus loading in Waterford Lake; 3) compilation of existing fisheries data; 4) shoreline and course woody debris assessment; 5) P/I plant survey of entire system; early season AIS survey; aquatic plant community survey and mapping, EWM peak biomass survey; and 6) collection of sediment cores. Deliverables: A lake management plan that includes results from all the elements listed in the activities. Specific project conditions: WDNR to review a draft of the final report; WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of data and reports/plans, in a format specified by the Lake Coordinator, generated as a result of this project. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
