WALLACE LAKE SANITARY DISTRICT: Wallace Lake Management Planning for Aquatic Plants

Purpose
Wallace Lake Sanitary District is sponsoring a project to complete an aquatic plant management plan. Activities: 1) Complete point-intercept plant survey per WDNR protocol; 2) develop aquatic plant management plan; 3) communicate results with lake users and interested partners Deliverables: 1) PI survey data; 2) a report that contains summary tables, plant distribution maps, a discussion about the plant community, harvesting plan with dimension and location specifics, disposal site information and a map denoting purple loosestrife chemical treatment areas; 3) a completed Aquatic Plant Management plan that meets the requirements of NR 109. Specific project conditions: WDNR review of the draft of the Aquatic Plant Management Plan; WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of data and reports/plans, in a format specified by the Lake Coordinator, generated as a result of this project. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
