JACKSON COUNTY: Eurasian Watermilfoil Mgt - Lake Wazee

Purpose

Purpose: This project aims to conduct pre- and post- treatment surveys following the Aquatic Plant Treatment Evaluation Guidance, control EWM at high traffic areas, prevent the spread to other lakes, and inventory the aquatic plant community of the lake using standardized methods. Project activities include: \2022 Obtain APM permit \2022 SCUBA divers hand-pull EWM at boat launches \2022 Pre and post treatment surveys at SCUBA sites \2022 Whole lake Point Intercept survey \2022 CBCW \2022 Educational booth at Pace and Peal Duathlon \2022 AIS signs \2022 Project deliverables: All data collected, all outreach and event materials, agendas and minutes from meetings. Specifically: \2022 Pre-post treatment data to document reduction of EWM \2022 PI report \2022 SWIMS data entry \2022 Installation of 7 AIS signs Special conditions: WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of all data and maps from the project. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lakes Coordinator.
