SOUTHEAST FOX RIFER PARTNERSHIP, INC.: Developing Tools to Establish the Fox River Water Trail

Purpose

The Southeast Fox River Partnership (SFRP) will develop a logo, digital map products, online map portal, and promotional materials to increase awareness of and recreational access to the Fox River in SE WI. Activities: Develop: 1) A Fox River Water Trail (FRWT) Logo 2) A FRWT tri-fold brochure 3) A digital (downloadable) map series of the FRWT 4) A FRWT online map portal and 5) FRWT PPT Template; and Conduct: 1) Training for SFRP staff on online composite maps and portal maintenance 2) outreach workshops and training Deliverables: Provide to Department 1) Evidence of a completed FRWT Logo in digital formats 2) A high-quality digital tri-fold map brochure the includes; location and extent of the FR, unique environmental features, river access points, local community boundaries, and site names 3) Detailed digital composite maps in layered formats, segmented by county, that include; wetlands and woodlands, parks, open spaces and boundary info, existing river access site types and amenities, areas of historical background, and cultural/natural resource features of each community along the FR 4) Evidence of a finalized online, searchable, and fully functional interactive map portal of the FRWT. The map portal shall include; detailed locations on all existing access sites and associated amenities, completed Reach Level/Trail segment descriptions with names, safe portage routes around dams and other hazards, trip times, difficulty, and points of interest 5) A narrative summary of training conducted for SFRP staff in the management and maintenance of the online composite maps and map portal 6) A digital copy of the PPT presentation template developed 7) Evidence of a minimum of three outreach training workshops; and digital copies of quarterly newsletters developed 8) A narrative summary of number of attendees at workshops, visitors accessing the online map portal, members joining SFRP, and attendees at the Annual Fox River Summit as a result of the finalized FRWT tools.
