AMNICON/DOWLING LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: 2016 Amnicon & Dowling Lk Management Plan & AIS Project

Purpose

Amnicon Dowling Lake Management District is sponsoring a project to implement their 2014 Aquatic Plant Management Plan while simultaneously expanding it to be more comprehensive. They will determine harvesting feasibility and expand water quality monitoring in both lakes with an emphasis on Dowling. Activities include: aquatic plant \2013 including wild rice, AIS, shoreland, water quality and quantity, and tributary loading monitoring; watershed mapping and modeling; sociological surveying; and planning with local stakeholders The project includes regular public participation/engagement and education and outreach, including an AIS workshop to train volunteers. All data collected must be entered into SWIMS. Deliverables include: aquatic plant, shoreland, and other survey results, including data sheets and analysis, GIS files, base harvesting plan, CBCW data entry, education/outreach summary, and an updated final plan or project summary. Special condition: DNR\2019s Lake Shoreland Habitat Monitoring Field Protocol must be used for shoreland survey work. The specific objectives, metrics, and deliverables for the listed activities are included in the application and supporting materials, and this scope is not intended to replace or supersede those documents
