Objective

Collect baseline water chemistry, aquatic plants, and AIS data for the following lakes: Smith Lake, Sawyer County, WBIC:2726100 Blueberry Lake, Sawyer County, WBIC:1835700 Sand Lake, Polk County, WBIC:2495000 Poplar Lake, Polk County, WBIC:2491000 Largon Lake, Polk County, WBIC:2668100 Pickerel Lake, Polk County, WBIC:2458900 Butternut Lake, Barron County, WBIC:2105800 Scott Lake, Barron County, WBIC:2630700

Study Design

3 water chemistry sampling events from July 15 – Sept. 15 (typical WisCALM) 1 plant point intercept survey (also look for and document AIS during that survey) 1 AIS survey – this entails a 10 minute search with a Dnet at the boat landing and at 5 targeted sites and 1 Ekman dredge at the deep hole CLMN secchi volunteers have agreed to monitor chemistry on Largon and Pickerel Lakes, Polk County
