Mussel Survey in Great Lakes

Purpose

Repeat of baseline survey conducted as part of the 2010 project

Objective

Mussels surveys will focus on noting all species encountered, their distribution, and relative abundance observed. Mussels serve as excellent indicators of water quality and a final report from this survey effort will focus on identifying threats to existing mussel populations and measure the overall mussel community health in these systems.
