PurposeThe entire Nemadji River watershed was included in the St. Louis River Area of Concern (AOC) due to excessive sedimentation observed in the river. In order to compare sediment loads during differet time periods with different land use patters, Tetra Tech will develop Hydrological Simulation Program-Fortran (HSPF) modeling scenarios to evaluate sediment loads prior to European settlement in the watershed, during the time period of highest percentage of agriculture and logged lands, and at the present time with current land use trends.
OutcomeThe project Scope of Work covers scenario development to investigate changes in sediment loading under present-day conditions, during peak logging and peak agriculture land use, and under pre-settlement conditions. The deliverables from Tetra Tech will include the following: 1. Completion of all necessary quality assurance documentation to satisfy US EPA grant requirements by 11/31/2015; 2.
