GLACIERLAND RC&D, INC.: Glacierland CBCW Manitowoc & Kewaunee

Purpose

Glacierland RC&D proposes to continue a Clean Boats Clean Waters program on high priority lakes in Manitowoc and Kewaunee Counties. Glacierland will hire paid boat inspectors to conduct inspections and distribute AIS education materials at boat launches during high use times primarily on weekends and holidays. Manitowoc County AIS Coordinator will schedule and monitor boat inspectors on a weekly basis. All boat inspections will be entered on the Watercraft Inspection form and entered into the SWIMS database. Glacierland will submit an annual report to the Department summarizing the boat inspection efforts of this project. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated December 10, 2014. Due to lack of available funds, the grant award was reduced from $10,000 to $7,500. The amount of CBCW inspections and other work may be reduced accordingly.
