ABDI LCD: Aquatic Invasive Species Education Conference

Purpose

The Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas and Iron Counties Land Conservation Department will sponsor a project to develop an educational conference on the ecological and economic impacts of aquatic invasive species. The conference will raise awareness, educate the public, provide educational materials and develop action plans for conference attendees. Project deliverables include a copy of the Aquatic Invasive Species Education Conference brochure; information & education packets; "Train the Trainer" packets; pre-collated aquatic invasive species packets; action plans for conference participants. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of all project products and periodic reports on the progress of the project. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), or public meeting(s), and/or local newspaper article(s).
