Large Scale Lake Planning
Lakes Planning Report. U.S. Geological Survey with the cooperation of the Muskellunge Lake Association.
The MLA proposes to assess hydrology, water quality, and nutrient loading to Muskellunge Lake.
Phase II will include the application and calibration of the GFLOW groundwater model; computation of water and phosphorus budgets; preparation of an interpretive report for the lake association; and publication and distribution of a final report. Results of this study will also be used to further refine the watershed analysis portion of another planing grant project being conducted on a downstream lake, Little St. Germain.
The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles.
