Bacterial Source Tracking at Impaired Beaches in the St. Louis River AOC


Sanitary surveys and microbial source tracking at SLR AOC beaches in WI and MN listed as impaired.


Identify sources of pathogens at impaired beaches and if a human source is present.


Evaluate the potential to remove the BUI related to recreational exposure. Identify projects based on bacteria sources.

Study Design

Use BEACH Act methods to implement sanitary surveys and identify genetic source involved with high E Coli
