Sheboygan River Projects

Purpose

The Sheboygan River from the Sheboygan Falls Dam downstream to the Sheboygan Harbor of Lake Michigan (14 miles of river) is considered impaired and is part of an Area of Concern that covers two Superfund Sites and a Great Lakes Legacy Act Site. This area was designated an Area of Concern because of PCB contaminated sediments. This project contains sub-projects that pertain to this portion of the Sheboygan River in addition to facilities upstream that may have contributed PCBs to the river system.
