Impaired Water - Wisconsin River (Wisconsin River)
Lincoln, Oneida County, Wisconsin
UW33, UW39, UW40
1179900
324.68 - 347.81
23.13
Condition has remained stable; water is not impaired.
Notes
Extensive monitoring and analysis found exceedances may be less than or equal to the error inherent in the monitoring process. There is no perceivable impact on aquatic life and modeling suggests complete elimination of point source discharges would have minimal effect on D.O. The marginal exceedances of the dissolved oxygen are thought to be due to natural background conditions including a large complex marshland ecosystem upstream from the listed segment. Best professional judgement and modeling indicates a healthy aquatic community exists in the segment with intolerant fish species including smallmouth bass, muskellunge, northern hog sucker and rock bass being present. This water was assessed during the 2014 listing cycle; total phosphorus sample data clearly met 2014 WisCALM listing thresholds for the Fish and Aquatic Life use.

This water was assessed during the 2018 listing cycle; new total phosphorus sample data clearly meets 2018 WisCALM listing criteria for the Fish and Aquatic Life use.
New mIBI assessment in 2020 confirm good condition.
