Wolf Advisory Committee
The Wolf Advisory Committee, a diverse group representing agency, non-agency, tribal and stakeholder interests, meets to propose wolf quota recommendations. Department leadership considers proposed quotas in developing department recommendations for Natural Resources Board approval.
Committee meeting information
The state's wolf management objectives are to ensure a sustainable wolf population; begin to reduce the wolf population through state managed hunting and trapping seasons toward the established population goals in accordance with Wisconsin's wolf management plan; quickly and effectively address depredations and other conflicts; and learn for future wolf management adaptation.
