The preparation of the Wisconsin Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is being financed in part through a planning grant from the National Park Service, Department of Interior, under the provisions of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 (Public Law 88-578, as amended).

UW-Madison Department of Urban and Regional Planning

The specific planning project for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Urban and Regional Planning's Fall 2010 Workshop [exit DNR] involved developing components for the 2011-2016 SCORP. The instructors selected four sub-issues to be addressed in specific team projects. While each team project provided stand-alone output for purposes of team evaluation, the four teams collaborated to achieve a coherent and well-integrated set of reports that can be used in the formal SCORP. The teams presented their work on December 15, 2010 to the DNR.
