All roads are open in the park. Hiking and bike trails are open but may be wet in some low areas.

The Friends of Potawatomi State Park are hosting the annual Run Wild event on Saturday, October 12, 2019.


Don't move firewood!

Don't move firewood!Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.

All campsites are open for the season. The shower building and dump station near the park office are open.

Campers must check-in or register before setting up camp. Potawatomi is part of a pilot program offering same day campsite reservations. Reservations can be made the same day of arrival or up to 11 months in advance.

A limited number of non-reservable campsites are available for self-registration when the office is closed. Contact the park or look for signs at the self-registration station for more information.


The docks are in at the boat launch. The fish cleaning station is open for the season.

The Friends of Potawatomi State Park are fundraising to support replacement of the accessible fishing pier in the picnic area. Visit the Friends fundraising page [exit DNR] for more information.

Park store

The Park Store is open Friday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 13, 2019. Firewood, bike and kayak rentals are available through the park store. Call the store directly at 920-746-8663 with any questions.

The park office is open 10 a.m. to 6 .m. Sundays through Thursdays unless staff is out in the park; and open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The park office in October is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.  The office will be closed or have very limited hours on Wednesdays.

A vehicle admission sticker is required year-round. If the office is closed, please self-register for vehicle admission stickers and campsites on the porch outside the office building.
