Mirror Lake State Park Current conditions

All trails are open to hiking, except the Fern Dell Pass (0.1 mile) which is closed due to flooding.  Expect some wet spring trail conditions on the trails particularly on the Northwest Trails and the lower prairie of the Ishnala trail.

Bike trails are open May 1 – Oct. 31, conditions permitting.

Naturalist programs are offered primarily on Saturdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Nature program schedules are also posted on park bulletin boards and at the park office. For a complete list of upcoming park programs, see Mirror Lake events.

Kids are also encouraged to participate in the Wisconsin Explorer Program.

Don't move firewood!

Don't move firewood!Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.

Campsite reservations for dates in May through October are highly recommended especially for weekends, holidays and electrical sites. A limited number of campsites (15) are available on a first-come, first-served basis; however these sites generally fill up early during the summer and weekends in the fall. Check out the camping information page for further details.

All campers, including those with reservations, must register/check in at the park office before setting up camp. Remember, no one may set up between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Fishing and boating

For size and bag limits for Mirror Lake, see the General Inland Waters section in the current fishing regulations and trout fishing regulations for category status of Mirror Lake and Dell Creek.

Mirror Lake is slow-no-wake for the entire lake; this makes the lake a very enjoyable experience for paddling and fishing. There are two boat landings on Mirror Lake. One is located within the state park and hosts our concessions and boat rentals. The other is the Town of Delton launch which is located on Lakeview Road off State Highway 23 at the west end of the lake.

Visitor center

The Mirror Lake Visitor Center is the place to go for park information, to register for camping and to buy a vehicle admission sticker. The park office is open daily from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. including extended office hours on Thursday - Saturday nights between May and October. If you arrive when the office is closed, the self-registration station is located next to the front door.
