Hank Aaron State Trail Current conditions

The trail is open to bicycling, walking, running and skating. Pet owners, please be sure to have your pet on a leash 8 feet or shorter at all times. You must pick up after your pet.

The asphalt-paved trail west of Miller Park currently ends at 94th Place.

Please note: The segment of trail from 94th Place to the Underwood Creek Parkway at the Milwaukee/Waukesha county line is surfaced with crushed limestone. Part of the trail that is under development is closed while construction is taking place on the Zoo Interchange (Highways 45, 94 and 894). There are six overpasses that go directly over the trail that will be demolished and rebuilt as part of that project. A detour route around the Zoo Interchange will be posted during trail closures. When construction work is completed, the trail will be paved with asphalt, which could be as late as 2019.
