Chippewa River State Trail Current conditions

The trail is open and in good condition. Maintenance staff have been busy clearing storm damage on the trails and mowing the center of the trail from Carvyille east into Eau Claire County. Maintenance staff will be working on asphalt patching, mowing the trail shoulders and spraying vegetation in the trail tread through July and August. Expect to encounter heavy equipment such as tractors and wood chippers on the trail. Please follow directions from DNR staff while passing equipment.

The drinking water at Caryville is turned on and the bathrooms are open at the Highway 85 Rest Area.
