Admission Sticker ReceiptsState Parks admission policy prior to the reopening of at-property service

COVID-19 Update

Park visitors can now purchase state park admission stickers online.

An annual park sticker or trail pass is required to visit state parks and trails. Annual park stickers only, can now be purchased online. State trail and other passes can still be purchased over the phone by calling 1-888-305-0398 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days per week. Buy before you go: annual passes are NOT available for purchase at individual properties. Visitors must have an annual admission sticker adhered to their vehicle or proof of purchase for entry.

COVID-19 Information Webpage

Visitors must display an annual admission sticker adhered to the vehicle as instructed on the sticker, or show proof of purchase upon entrance. If you purchase an annual admission sticker and want to visit a park before your sticker arrives in the mail, you may print off and bring your receipt. Place the receipt on the driver’s side dash of your vehicle while in the property so that it can be read through the windshield.

Telephone orders will be sent a receipt via email. If you purchase an annual admission sticker and do not have a way to print out your proof of purchase, record the location where the sticker was sold (top of receipt)  and receipt reference number (upper right corner of receipt) on a piece of paper, printed in large letters. Place the paper on the driver’s side dash of your vehicle while in the property so that it can be read through the windshield. If you purchase an annual admission sticker over the telephone and do not have email, ask the operator for the location of the sticker sale and the receipt reference number.

Receipts will be emailed the same day of purchase. There may be a delay in receiving emails, and remember to check your junk email folder. If you did not receive a receipt the same day of your purchase, email Wisconsin State Parks Store.

Conservation Patrons: The Wisconsin State Parks program does not mail the stickers that come with your Conservation Patrons license. Normally, we exchange this voucher at our park offices for your sticker. As our offices are currently closed, you may use the voucher as your valid proof of purchase to enter the state park. Print your state park patron voucher and place it on the driver’s side dash of your vehicle while visiting the property so that it can be read through the windshield.

Electronic Kiosks: Electronic kiosks are currently unavailable due to the public health emergency. If you have already purchased a sticker from an electronic kiosk, the receipt you received from the electronic kiosk serves as your proof of purchase until you are able to redeem your receipt for an admission sticker. Due to the current circumstances, the 30-day deadline to redeem your receipt is currently waived. Place the electronic kiosk receipt on your driver’s side dash while in the property so that it can be read through the windshield.

This receipt policy will be in place while at-property service is unavailable.
